This webinar-formatted class is designed for those looking for more ways to review and practice Chinese during the week. Classes will cover a variety of review topics and target questions, along with focusing on pronunciation, tones, pinyin and more. Video recordings will be available to registered students for one week after each class. Youth to adult students are welcome.

Our new Youth Beginner 1 Webinar class is the perfect option for busy kids interested in learning Mandarin at home. Classes are held in web seminar format and can be attended from wherever high-speed internet access is available.

This course is for youth with little or no prior experience with Mandarin Chinese. Beginner 1 covers the foundations of conversational Mandarin. After completing this course, students will be prepared to advance to Beginner 2. During Beginner 1, students will learn to:

• Count 1-100
• Greet and interact with teachers and peers in an appropriate manner
• Identify numbers, colors, animals, foods and family members
• Follow a range of classroom instructions
• Perform a basic self introduction
• Begin to read and write pinyin
• Begin writing basic characters
